These fellowships include Federal and Provincial awards, awards funded by Concordia University, and special awards for students with particular backgrounds or studying particular research areas. Please consult this database and agency websites for the most up-to-date information. For each award you are provided with the eligibility information, application procedures, deadlines and so on.

CONCORDIA SPECIAL ENTRANCE AWARDS
Special Entrance Awards / Awards of excellence may be offered to students starting their degree program at Concordia who at the same time will begin receiving full external fellowships from a designated provincial (Québec) or federal granting agency. Awards are for one year, and are valued at $6,000 at the Masters level, and $10,000 at the doctoral level.
CONCORDIA ENTRANCE AWARDS
Entrance Awards are available to students entering the Master's or PhD programs, and include Concordia University Graduate Fellowships, and International Tuition Fee Remission awards. Students are considered for these awards automatically upon nomination by their prospective research supervisor.
CONCORDIA OPEN COMPETITION AWARDS
The Open Competition is available to both new and returning MA and PhD students and has an application deadline in February. New students from outside Concordia must be nominated by their prospective supervisor to be considered for these awards, and graduate students currently at Concordia must apply to be considered (new letters of reference should be solicited unless they were provided in the last year).

Quebec Merit Fellowships for Foreign Students
The application deadline for these Doctoral and Postdoctoral fellowships is usually in July.
Saul Levenson Graduate Scholarship in Psychology
This award is a $2,500 entrance scholarship for students entering M.A. I, or Ph.D. I, and is based on academic excellence and financial need. The deadline is usually in April.
Sheila & Irvin Maklan Graduate Scholarship in Psychology (Child Development)
This award is a $2,300 entrance scholarship for students in the area of Child Development entering M.A. I, or Ph.D. I, and is based on academic excellence and financial need. The deadline is usually in April.
J.P. Zweig Scholarship in Fitness, Exercise Science, and/or Behavioral Medicine
This is a $300 award based on academic excellence. The deadline is usually in April.
AMERICAN PSYCHOLOGICAL FOUNDATION GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS
The Department of Psychology will nominate two students. If you wish to be considered for one of the scholarships please submit your complete application to the Graduate Program Assistant.
